Ren Asakawa, partner, tax-aware planning at Fennimore & Platt

Ren joined as a partner in 2018 after eight years in the private client tax group of a national accounting firm. He leads tax-aware planning: Roth conversions, equity compensation, charitable giving and the yearly tax projection.

He works directly with each client’s CPA and sends the projection with the reasoning behind it, so the plan and the return tell the same story.
